The international network in biolinguistics aims to foster research on the biological basis of the language faculty, linking theoretical linguistics, developmental psychology, theoretical biology, evolutionary biology and psychology, molecular biology, genetics, and physics.

The inter-disciplinary and collaborative works aim to explore further the factors that according to Chomsky (2004, 2006, 2007) contribute to the growth of language in the individual, the genetic endowment, experience, and language-independent principles of efficient computation.

The network includes a website, ongoing events including conferences on dedicated topics, summer schools, and long term projects, including research programs and permanent centers.
